Symptoms
Liver
cancer is a silent killer because the majority of the patients appear to be
perfectly healthy and have no early signs or symptoms. Pain is uncommon until the tumor
is quite large, and some large tumors don't even cause pain or other symptoms.
Later
stages of liver cancer, when the cancer is very large or when it impairs the
functions of the liver, can produce more obvious symptoms such as pain over the
right upper abdomen, weight loss, lack of appetite, and finally the development
of yellow discoloration of the eyes and skin (jaundice) and abdominal swelling.
Screening Frequency
Screening Frequency
Hepatitis
B carriers who become infected early in childhood have a high risk of
developing liver cancer whether they have cirrhosis or not. The risk is greater in men and
those with a positive family history for liver cancer.
A
reasonable approach to liver cancer screening includes:
§Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) blood test
every 6 months
§Liver Ultrasound at least once or
twice a year
Either
test alone, however, can miss the diagnosis. Once the patient develops
cirrhosis, more frequent screening is generally recommended.
I was married at 32 and immediately tried to get pregnant. When I was unable to conceive I had blood tests for fertility and was told that I had an FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) of 54 and would not be able to have children. Even though the doctors knew that I had been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis since age 25, no one bothered to check my thyroid levels. my TSH was measured at .001. My Synthroid dosage was lowered. a friend advise me to contact a spiritualist who help with fertility with his medicine, i collected his contact and explain my situation to him he prepared for me a herbal medicine which i took as describe by him. became pregnant very quickly, I had a successful pregnancy. ReplyDeleteI was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
ReplyDeleteliver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
